James Corbett died in 1810 in Mason Co., VA.   He married Margaret (?) and had at least 5 children.  He served under Captain May's company in the Revolutionary War, in Virginia. Boutetort Co. Military Dist 53. in 1783.

Anne Nickell Corbit, later, married Andrew Lewis on 16 Jan 1805, Monroe Co., VA. They had six children.
Alexander married Jane Nickell 09 May 1821, Monroe Co, Virginia.  They had 6 children.  Jane was born 1798, Monroe Co, VA and died in Trenton, Henry, OH.  Alexander was a farmer by trade, according to all the census.  Alexander and Jane are living with daughter Samantha and her family in Sidney, IA in 1880. Alexander is listed as a retired farmer. Jane is is listed as a house keeper.

John Nickell married Rebecca Beam on 05 Dec 1847,  in Henry Co., IA.  They had 12 children.  John was a farmer by trade according to census.  He was educated in private schools.  John and Rebecca were members in good standing in the Wesleyan Church, of which Mr. Corbit is a class leader. Before becoming a Wesleyan, he was a member of the U. B. Church and also of the M. E. He owns a good farm of eighty acres.  Children are listed below. Andrew L. married Anne Elisabeth Nelson on 8 Mar 1855 at Henry Co., IA, at the house of John Scarfs.  Their marriage was registered on Mar 16, 1855 and married by James C. Green, J. P.  Andrew was a farmer according to census records. 
- July 7 1860 censes states that Andrew was a farmer. Real estate value was worth $300 and personal estate is worth $20.
- Census in Trenton, IA, 1856 has Andrew and Anna living there, Andrew as a farmer and Anna as a laboress. They had sold two cattle with value of $40 and two pounds of wool.
- Andrew Corbit is listed as a citizen of Trenton, IA in 1859-60 directory.
Electra married Enoch Harris on Apr. 8, 1849 in Henry Co., IA. and they had 10 children.

Valentine W. never married as far as I can tell.  
1850 Census of Trenton Township, Henry County IA, Sep 4 1850 states: Valentine, age 2, born in Iowa.
1870 census says he was born in MO.
1875 census has Val living in Carr Creek, Marshall County, KS with brother Jasper and family.  He took his father to Idaho in the 1900 census. They state that they both can read, write and speak English. They own their farm free and clear. John states that he is divorced and Valentine is single. Also this census says that Val's mom was born in IL. and he in IA.
In the 1885 census, Val stilll lives at home in Freemont Co. IA. He is 36 years of age and single.
In the 1870 census, he is at home, working on the farm and single at 21.
1880 census of Madison Township of Fremont Count, IA states: V. W. Corbet, 32, farmer, living at home.
1885 census of Madison Township of Fremont Count, IA states: Valentine W. 36, farmer, at home
Jasper Perry married Mary Eliza Swan and had 6 kids.  
1850 Census of Trenton Township, Henry County IA, Sep 4 1850 states: Jasper, age 3 months, born in Iowa.
1870 Census of Hamburg, Madison, Freemont County, IA - June 9, 1870 states: Jasper, age 20, working on farm, born in MO
1875 census has Jasper, Mary, Nora and brother Val living in Carr Creek, Marshall County, KS.
1880 census of Madison Township of Fremont Count, IA states: Jasper, 29, Laborer, living at home with wife Mary and 3 children.
1900 Census, Jasper lived in Fisher Township, Fremont, IA with wife and 6 kids. His occupation is a farmer.  This census said that Mary was the mother of 8 children, only 6 living.
1910 census states that Jasper, Mary, Adas, Elmer and Irving were living in Sand Creek, Holt Co, KS. Jasper still a farmer.

Corbit Family Leaves Farragut
Jasper Corbit left Tuesday morning for Atkinson, Nebraska, his future home. The car with the household goods, etc., goes this morning in charge of Erve, and the women folks probably leave here the first of next week. It is with much regret the people of this community part with the Corbit family. Mr. and Mrs. Corbit and the young people will be greatly missed in the church where they have worked so untiringly and in the community where they are known as excellent citizens. Mr. Corbit has been superintendent of the Methodist Sunday school for six years continuously and his place will be hard to fill. The entire family will become citizens of Nebraska except Ward, who has rented the place now occupied by Seth Cox and will farm it the
coming season. Farragut Leader.
