                Nora is
                listed in the 1885 census of Millville, Clayton, IA as 4 years
                old. In 1895, Nora is in Jefferson, Dubuque, IA at the age of
                14.  The
                1905 census of Dubuque, Dubuque, IA, lists her in her father's
                home at 1046 15th St.

                hadn't been told, just happen to find a birth certificate for a
                child in Cook County, IL.  The parents were Nora Oneyear
                Martin and Burt Martin.  The child's name is not written
                but is a boy and the mother's first child.  The birth date
                is March  11, 1904 in Cook county, IL.  The mother was
                23 and father 28 years old.  Place of birth says 901 S.
                Kedzie Ave.  No town.  The father is from Davenport,
                IA and mother is from Dubuque, IA. 
                Nora
                Elizabeth, the first daughter to Stephen and Mary, was born in
                Durango, IA., according to marriage license to George Spoerl in
                Dubuque, IA., on Feb. 18, 1908. He was 26 and she was 27 years
                old when they married, according to marriage records. Witnesses
                were Hilda Nagel and Katie Feller. J. W. Feller, M. G. presided.
                They had no children that lived, but at least one born was to
                them.   They are buried beside the child at the Asbury
                Cemetery in Dubuque.  They built their own log cabin and
                were bee keepers.  Stories from family members say Nora was
                a great cook.
