Charles, the second son
and child of Stephen and Mary was born in 1875. He married Anna
Weiderman on Nov. 23, 1897 in Rickardsville, IA. A Catholic
Priest by the name of Geo. W. Clark officiated. Charles was 23
and Anna was 19 years old. They had one child, Annie. Charlie as
he was called, died Dec. 9, 1899 in a wagon accident.
Charles died in Rickardsville and buried at St. Joseph Church
Cemetery. He was a farmer.
Charles is listed in
the 1880 census as a white male at 5 years old. Birthplace is
IA.
Charles is also listed
in Millville, Clayton County, IA in 1885 with his family. He is
9 years old, born in Dubuque, IA and parents are natiive to this
country.
I couldn't the original
census, but ancestry says that in 1895 Charley Oneyear, 19, born
in Dubuque, IA was living in Jefferson, Dubuque Co., IA.
